Bourbon has exceeded all of our expectations.  His easy-to-live-with temperament has proven to be equal to his good looks & structurally correct build.  His get can be found in the show ring, working as service dogs & therapy dogs, swimming in pools & ponds and lounging on couches.

Bourbon has lovely breed type, plenty of bone, a lovely head piece, a proper double coat, nice substance, a great topline & movement, a nicely balanced front and rear plus he has a wonderfully sweet personality, always wagging his tail.

Bourbon’s first weekend out at a specialty (Huron River LRC), he was awarded  BOSS from the 15-18 month Sweeps class under Breeder Judge Beth Volle (Riverdance) and WD under Breeder Judge Joyce Love (Rickway) for a 5 point major.  Day 2 at HRLRC, Bourbon was awarded RWD under Breeder Judge Pierry McLean (Castlegar).

The first dog show & specialty post COVID was the 2-day Miami Valley Specialties.  Day 1 Bourbon was awarded RWD from the BBE class under Breeder Judge Dr. Cindy Skiba, DDS and on Day 2, he was awarded RBD from the BBE class under Breeder Judge Nancy Arbuckle (Hunt Club).

At the Shawnee Mission LRC Specialty Day 1, Bourbon was awarded Best BBE under Breeder Judge Lori Bentine (Tremont) and on Day 2, he was awarded RWD from the Bred By class under  Breeder Judge Anne Maynard (Kimleigh).

At the LRC of Greater Boston Supported Entry/Ladies Dog Club Day 1, Bourbon was awarded WD from the BBE class under Breeder Judge Lori Bentine (Tremont) for  3 points and on Day 2, Bourbon was awarded the same under Breeder Judge Anne Maynard (Kimleigh) for another 3 points which completed his AKC Championship June 2021.

In August 2023 at the Northern Ohio LRC Supported Entry/Columbian County KC , Bourbon was awarded Select Dog under Breeder Judge Anne Maynard (Kimleigh) for 4 points.

At the LRC of Greater Boston Supported Entry/Cape Cod KC, Bourbon was awarded BOS under Breeder Judge Marion Daniels (Mar-Moye) 4 points to complete his AKC Grand Championship.

At the LRCP Fall 2023 Specialty, Bourbon was awarded Best In Specialty Show under Breeder Judge Jill DiGesare (Wiscoy) for 3 points.  What an honor!

At the Jersey Skyland LRC Specialty, Bourbon was awarded Select Dog under Breeder Judge Lori Bentine (Tremont) for 4 points.

At the Greater Atlanta LRC Specialty Day 2, Bourbon was awarded Select Dog under Breeder Judge Maxine Woodley (Alkhamhurst) for 6 points.

At the Nashville KC show under Judge Desmond Murphy, Bourbon was awarded Best of Breed and Sporting Group 2 for 5 points.

Day 1 at the Hoosier LRC, Bourbon was awarded his 2nd Best in Specialty Show under Breeder Judge Anne Maynard for 5 points.  What an honor to have a second BISS.

Day 2 at the Hoosier LRC, Bourbon was awarded an Award of Merit under Breeder Judge Diane McClurg (Maidstone).

Day 2 at the LRC Regional Specialty, Jackson, MS, Bourbon was awarded Select Dog under Judge Ann Yuhasz for 5 points.
