Dax had a limited show career, finishing his Championship with Specialty Majors under judges Linda Davis, Laura Weiss and Connie DuBois. The day after he finished, Dax was awarded a huge Specialty BOV under Judge Mary Wells. Dax was campaigned sparingly for the remainder of 2021, garnering a BISS under judge Charles Olvis and ending the year as #9 smooth collie in Hawkins. At the 2022 National, Dax was awarded an AOM under judge Nancy Anstruther. Dax now spends his time doing performance with his co-owner and being a farm dog. He has a couple of promising young litters on the ground and they’re already starting to make their mark in conformation and performance venues.
Dax has a long, balanced head with great skull, an appropriate stop and no depth. He has great detail, turn of muzzle and finish and tops it off with a smoldering expression. Dax has an outstanding presence, beautiful outline and overall balance. He is of good substance, has a front assembly that is hard to find and beautiful tight feet. Top this off with excellent health clearances and a fantastic personality, what’s not to love?
