Quest Chihuahuas

Chihuahua, Wyoming

Quest is a small breeding, show, and performance kennel located in northeastern Wyoming, in a beautiful little town nestled at the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains. We only just produced our first litter in January of 2026, but have been involved in the Chihuahua since 2019 and in AKC conformation since 2011.

Our goal is to produce physically and mentally sound, genetically healthy, and temperamentally and conformationally correct animals. We believe that despite their small stature, the Chihuahua deserves all the efforts seen in larger breeders to be put forward for their advancement as a breed. This includes health testing to at least CHIC requirements + Embark DNA testing, temperament testing, modern puppy raising protocols, and much more.

The Chihuahua breed is one of great variety; coming in 2 coat types and endless colors and markings. While coat type and color are far down on our list of priorities, we do have a preference for smooth coat Chihuahuas so may more rarely produce long coats, especially as our program develops over the coming years. Similarly, while we will not breed specifically to avoid blue dilute in our litters, we do not wish to actively produce blue dogs. We do not work with merle.

In addition to Chihuahuas, we are also in the early stages of working with American Cocker Spaniels, following all the same beliefs and visions that guide our journey with our Chihuahuas. We are working only with black and ASCOB Cockers at this time and have no current plans for our first litter.
