My name is Elena Sexton, breeder and owner of Platinum Dunes Maltese.
My journey began in the 1990s with Russian Toy Terriers. After moving to the U.S. in 2003, I paused breeding to adjust and explore other professions—but my passion for dogs never faded.
In 2009, I welcomed my first Maltese as a pet. A year later, I imported a show-quality female from overseas. She earned both American Grand Champion (GCH) and international Champion titles, becoming the foundation of my breeding program.
Since then, I’ve carefully imported top Maltese lines from countries around the world, focusing on correct type, structure, and expression in line with AKC and FCI standards.
Today, I breed very selectively—just 1–2 litters per year—with each pairing thoughtfully planned. All breeding dogs are genetically and health tested, and puppies are raised in a cage-free, in-home environment as beloved companions.
Many of my dogs have been evaluated in the show ring, affirming the quality and ethics of my program. At Platinum Dunes Maltese, health, structure, and integrity always come first.
