We are a small show home dedicated to the Yorkshire Terrier breed located in northern Indiana.

With 20+ years experience in the breed our goals have never wavered. To produce Yorkshire Terriers that are sound in mind and body, while excelling at representing the breed standard and type. We have a small, but very selective breeding program. Every litter is planned with a specific goal in mind. We breed primarily to produce amazing Yorkshire Terriers to continue the JaLa name and to represent our breed in the show ring.  However we do from time to time place wonderful pet puppies in carefully selected pet only homes.

Our focus on health in the breed includes OFA patellar screening for all breeding dogs, Embark testing to include PLL, PRA screening for the ocular disorders known to affect our breed and full blood work (chem/cbc) done yearly on all breeding dogs. All puppies also have blood work done prior to placement.

JaLa Yorkies has produced BISS winners, group winning, group placing and multiple champions – all owner handled by us and their new owners. Whether in pet only homes or show homes where they are also truly pets – JaLa Yorkies searches for the best of hands for our puppies. I work to create a line of Yorkshire Terriers that can continually be finished by owner handlers – whether novice or experienced against professional competition. I am always willing to help novice exhibitors in the breed and willing to work with other breeders to move our breed forward.
