At High Country our focus is on healthy collies that are bred to the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) standard who excel in both Conformation and Performance Sports, as well as making wonderful family dogs that are well socialized and adapt to new situations with ease. We genetically test our collies for all known diseases, as well as testing for DMS and OFA hips and elbows. Our collies do not live in a kennel; they are inside/outside dogs who are always with their people, and always sleep in the house at night. We do not breed often, and when we do, it is to produce our next generation of show/performance dogs for ourselves and for those who are interested in our program.
