At Ginkgo Barbet, we are dedicated breeders of the rare and remarkable Barbet, the French Water Dog. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, we have been thoughtfully raising and placing Barbet puppies since 2007 with a strong focus on health, temperament, and breed integrity. As an AKC Breeder of Merit Silver, we intentionally plan only one to two litters each year, allowing us to raise puppies in our home using Puppy Culture protocols and provide early socialization that supports confident, well adjusted companions.

The Barbet is an intelligent, affectionate, and versatile breed, equally well suited as a devoted family companion or an enthusiastic partner in various performance work. We are active supporters of the Barbet Club of America and are committed to preserving this exceptional breed through responsible breeding and education. Many Ginkgo bred Barbets have gone on to succeed in conformation, performance, and companion homes. At Ginkgo Barbet, every puppy is raised with intention and placed with care, becoming a valued member of both our family and yours.
